Serving our Community

Service with Meaning and Compassion

Dry January USA/Meharry Logo

Dry January® USA

Dry January® is an alcohol reduction mission, coined by the charity known as Alcohol Change UK, whose roots began in 1984 with the goal of reducing the harm alcohol consumption causes.

For the first time, Dry January® is in the U.S., and Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN is proud to own and promote this trademark in Music City, U.S.A.

For more info on all the activities Dr Caldwell has been working on as Chief Medical Officer of Dry January® USA, as well as how to get involved, check out his blog!

Nashville Pink Jeep

Nashville Pink Jeep

Pink, a symbol of love and compassion, is also the international color representing breast cancer awareness.

Although breast cancer incidences began decreasing since 2000 (and started increasing by 0.5% in recent years), breast cancer is still the second most common cancer that causes death (after lung cancer). This is where you come in!

The Nashville Pink Jeep has made breast cancer awareness its mission, by letting you drive it! The Nashville Pink Jeep has worked with Metastatic Breast Cancer Travelers and is on Turo for rent while you're visiting Nashville or planning a fun getaway!

Meharry School of Global Health

Meharry Medical College School of Global Health

The School of Global Health at Meharry Medical College is the first and only school of global health in the US! As a historically black graduate institution, Meharry is leading the way in shaping and guiding future professionals in global health.

I am supporting the School of Global Health with my various experiences in clinical trial science, management & diversity, health & science communication, and public health leadership with special focus on behavioral health research and education.

Donate

Currently, all the projects I am involved in are largely being funded by myself, which limits how far I am able to go when it comes to events. Please donate today to help with funding for the Nashville Pink Jeep, or Armed Forces Day, so I can best help achieve your goals. Also, if you've been at one or more of our events, please let me know what your favorite activity has been so far, or if you have any suggestions for future activities and events!
